Maintaining Control and Increasing Safety
March 25, 2014 - 10am pst / 1pm est

Crashes can happen to anyone at any time, but usually they occur against the backdrop of elevated risk. Multiple factors can add to total risk. Crash scenarios involve the interaction of pre-crash risk factors with specific driver errors and other crash triggers. The webinar will suggest proactive, beyond compliance carrier management strategies relating to driver selection, evaluation, and to operational planning, including trip scheduling and routing.

While many School Bus drivers may perceive driving as a routine activity, attentive driving is critical as the traffic and surrounding environment changes constantly. Interactions with other motorists and loud noises on the bus are common distractions drivers face. Drivers must always be prepared to react so they can operate their bus safely and efficiently. This webinar will discuss methods to prevent distracted driving and train drivers to increase safety on the road.
