Zonar Hosts Webinar as Introduction to School Fleet Telematics

Seattle, Wash. – Zonar is hosting a free webinar to review the features of modern telematics platforms and how pupil transportation fleets are using telematics to improve safety and efficiency. Join industry veterans, Craig Kahoun, director at Zonar and Don Carnahan, V.P. of business development at Zonar and president of the National Association of Pupil Transportation (NAPT) for a look at what’s new and important in the world of telematics.

“This webinar will provide an overview of benefits districts receive from telematics and what to consider when evaluating telematics for a pupil transportation operation,” said Carnahan. “Today’s telematics platforms not only improve bus transportation, but help enable improvements across the district including bus maintenance, accounting and human resources.”
Webinar attendees will learn ways to improve fuel efficiency, increase rider safety and emergency preparedness; automate compliance activities and Medicaid reporting; improve vehicle uptime and route optimization; integrate telematics data for payroll applications and more.
Zonar recently announced bundled service packages that provide their full-featured telematics system for under $20 per month with no up-front hardware costs. Zonar also offers $50,000 grants in collaboration with the National Association of Pupil Transportation (NAPT). Applications are being accepted through October 15, 2014 by visiting www.napt.com.
“An Introduction to School Bus Fleet Telematics” takes place on June 26, 2014 at 10:00 AM Pacific time/1:00 PM Eastern time. Register for the webinar by visiting www.zonarsystems.com/register.html.
About Zonar
Zonar is a transportation technology company that helps pupil transportation fleets improve regulatory compliance, increase fleet efficiency, and improve safety. Fleets utilize Zonar’s suite of solutions to capture vehicle-related data that can be integrated with other backend systems or viewed through Zonar’s web-based Ground Traffic Control application. The telematics platform includes onboard systems that capture external GPS satellite data as well as performance, control, and status data directly from a vehicle’s engine and sub-systems. In conjunction with the telematics platform, Zonar’s mobile platform includes user-enabled devices that collect information from a driver, an operator, or from riders.
