Zonar announced that it is the bronze winner of the 2017 Best in Biz Awards for Best Place to Work in the Medium Companies category.

Seattle Wash. – December 18, 2017 Zonar, the leader in smart fleet management technology, today announced that it is the bronze winner of the 2017 Best in Biz Awards for Best Place to Work in the Medium Companies category.

Best in Biz Awards entrants span the spectrum from some of the most innovative start-ups to the most recognizable global brands. The seventh annual program was particularly hotly contested, with more than 650 entries from an impressive array of public and private companies in a variety of industries. The award recognizes companies, teams, executives and products for business success in the current and previous year, and this year Zonar was on the short list of honorees.

“Our team at Zonar is passionate about helping our customers stay safe and drive smart on the road, and each day our team works together and supports one another to achieve this common goal,” said Paul Kemp, Chief People Officer at Zonar. “Our values – ingenuity, excellence, passion, integrity, gratitude and fun are an inherent part of the culture at the company, and I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated and committed group of people.”

This year has marked a series of major achievements for Zonar, including the initial product integration of ContiPressureCheck from its majority investor Continental AG, the launch of Zonar Count, Zonar Docs, Zonar Coach and Zonar Verify in addition to creating new partnerships with Cummins Inc., and SafeStop. Earlier this fall, Zonar was also revealed as the silver winner of Seattle Business Magazine’s 2017 Tech Impact Awards in the Software as a Service (SaaS) category.

Since 2011, winners of Best in Biz Awards have been determined based on scoring from independent judging panels composed of prominent editors and reporters from some of the most respected newspapers, TV outlets, business, consumer, technology and trade publications in North America. This award is unique due to its distinct composition of judging panels, allowing it to leverage the judges’ unparalleled expertise, experience and objectivity to determine winners. The 2017 judging panel included the Associated Press, Business News Daily, Consumer Affairs, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Wired and Yahoo Tech.

“There were many great entries for the Best Place to Work category in this year’s Best in Biz Awards, and it was extremely difficult to select the winner,” said Joe Pettit, Tripwire, returning to judge Best in Biz Awards for the second year in a row. “All entries showed that their businesses are designed to put life before work and they understand that a happy workforce is a productive one. Not only is it important for all employees to be valued, but having the opportunity to improve your health, well-being and spend time with your family should be the number one aspiration for all.”
