CARES Act funds pay for school fleet tech.

Two leading solutions, plus help with the process.

Under the CARES Act, the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund) enables states to award subgrants to local education agencies such as school districts. These subgrants fund solutions, supplies and technologies to address difficulties caused by COVID-19.

Two of our industry-leading smart fleet management technologies qualify to be funded by ESSER Fund subgrants.

Verify each bus is safe to operate.

Our patented electronic verified inspection reporting (EVIR®) system ensures each pre- and post-trip inspection is done properly. Includes a configuration for verifying and standardizing how to follow federal sanitization procedures.

Know who rode which bus, when.

Zonar Z Pass™ supports contact tracing efforts. Record the date, time and school ID number of each student as they get on and off the bus. Know who rode which bus, and when.

Beat the ESSER Fund deadline.

ESSER funds are available through September 30, 2022. But time is not your side if you wait to apply. Reallocation of awards begins in the spring and summer of 2021. And September 20, 2021 is the last day the U.S. Department of Education can even make awards. Reach out to our grant writing assistance team to learn more and get your application in on time.

Grant writing assistance makes the process easier.

To access ESSER Fund subgrants, your school district must apply to the relevant state educational agencies (SEA), which will monitor the use of the funds after awarding them. Instead of taking it on yourself, work with experts who’ll support you from the start to post-award management. Our professional grant writing assistance program can also work with you to identify other opportunities outside of CARES Act funding.
