Expansion into Downtown Seattle to Support Software Development and Growth

Seattle Wash. – December 21, 2015 – Zonar, a leading transportation technology company, announced today that the company is expanding its Seattle footprint and opening a developer-centric Pioneer Square office location. The office is designed to attract and host software and product developers who will continue to innovate and build Zonar’s transportation technology solutions for connected vehicles. It features an open office industrial design, pneumatic desks and game room. In the historic Exchange Building at 821 Second Ave., Zonar’s office is centrally located for public transportation

The new Zonar office currently hosts over 60 full-time employees and will expand to 100 by the end of 2016. Zonar offers ORCA cards to all downtown-based employees so they can take advantage of the office’s proximity to several modes of public transportation. The office boasts many amenities, including a Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountain and a deluxe game room with a foosball table, pool table, and 16-foot shuffleboard table. Additionally, the Zonar sign in the lobby was created with trailer parts from Western Trailer Design to reflect Zonar’s presence in the transportation industry.

“Downtown Seattle has a highly technical talent pool with a lot of options when it comes to choosing where they want to work,” said Paul Kemp, chief talent officer at Zonar Systems. “Our growth into the new Pioneer Square location is building a stronger development team by attracting some of Seattle’s top technical talent and increasing Zonar’s overall brand. We understand that building an environment that employees enjoy coming to is a big deal. We know happy employees are engaged, collaborate and produce the best outcomes. Our goal was to build an office that is easy to get to, where employees can produce their best work and have fun doing it.”
